MONTHLY WRAP-UP: August 2014

KING CRIMSON: Artist of the Month

KING CRIMSON: Artist of the Month

Can scarcely believe that our third month as a publication has almost come to pass! For the new readers, this segment is quite seriously what it’s title suggests. On the last publication day of every month, Replicant Ears issues a wrap-up article which runs through everything that was published that month, declares the Artist of the Month (which is selected based on site statistics), a song (via YouTube or other means) from said artist, and perhaps other surprises as the publication grows.

Thanks so much for making this August such an epic month! It was fantastic to be able to have the first week of the month be King Crimson Week. Covering the legends of the past is a big deal to us and doing that in such a grand way was really cool. We covered some great new talents this month, heard some new music from a beloved metal institution we thought wasn’t going to bring us anything ever again, and we also experienced a great concert at the hands of Nova Scotia’s Kuato!

Thanks again to everyone who has checked out the mag, shared, liked, favourited, retweeted, etc. Replicant Ears’ humble empire has grown quite a bit these past few months and we owe it all to you! Your support means everything! Please continue to spread the word while we continue to present you with heaps of the forward-thinking goodness you deserve.

The first week of this month was King Crimson Week at Replicant Ears!

We are always looking for more writers/contributors. If you’re passionate about music and can talk at lengths about it, drop us a line at replicantears@outlook.com. Don’t worry if you’re not the best writer, that’s what our editor is for!
